Betty Jean Condley

Betty Jean Condley, 89, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017. She was born July 1, 1927 in Bristow, Oklahoma to William Ashley and Delphia Ann (Coffey) Mead. Shortly after her birth they moved to Flippin, Arkansas, where she was raised. She married the love of her life, William Duel Condley, March 23, 1946 in Bristow, Oklahoma. They shared over 54 years together of friendship, life, and love together. Betty’s passion was cooking. She always loved getting the family together for meals and spending time with them. This passion she also used at her professional job, as Cafeteria Manager for Muskogee Public Schools at Grant Foreman Elementary, Sadler and Alice Robertson Jr. High from which she retired in 1976. Betty also enjoyed watching the Lakers, Thunder, and Jeff Gordon on television. She was a devoted Christian and proud member of Christian Chapel. She could always be found in the church kitchen preparing food for functions and funerals. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, William Ashely and Delphia Ann (Coffey) Mead; loving husband, William Duel Condley; brother, Oral; Sisters, Arizona and Evelyn; brother-in-law, Felix Williams; son-in-law, Bill Palmieri. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Palmieri of Muskogee, OK; son, Dan Condley of Conroe, TX; daughter-in-law, Angie Condley of Magnolia, TX; grandsons, Matt White and wife Brandy of Muskogee, OK, Bart White and wife Bethany of Muskogee, OK, Nick White and wife Brooke of Tulsa, OK, Will Condley of Magnolia, TX; granddaughters, Amy Buckmaster and husband Mickey of Porter, OK, Amber Condley of Magnolia, TX, and Hannah Condley of Magnolia, TX; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Cammie, Alli, Averi, Madelynn, Jaxon, Beckham, Leighton, Jack, Libby, Kate, Molly, Will, Roxie Grace, and Jacob. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Gospel Rescue Mission. The family will receive friends from 5:30p.m.-7:00p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A celebration of Betty’s life will be 10:00a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donnie Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Matt White, Bart White, Nick White, Mickey Buckmaster, Will Condley, Jaxon Hannon serving as pallbearers.
