Betty Eleanor Ramage Truitt, of Muskogee died Sunday, January 30, 2011 in Muskogee. Betty Eleanor was born on July 26, 1917 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Frank and Elsie Sadler. She attended school in Muskogee and graduated from Central High before going on to the Draughon’s Business School. Betty Eleanor was an abstractor and co-owner of Pioneer Abstract and Title Company where she worked most of her life. She married Isaac Ramage on December 23, 1939 in Muskogee, Oklahoma where they made their home and had twin daughters, Betty Ann and Nancy. Isaac died in 1991 after fifty-one years of marriage. Betty Eleanor married Grady C. Truitt on May 14, 1992. She was active in mission organizations and taught Sunday School classes for girls and young married couples at First Baptist Church, Muskogee. Betty Eleanor was a smart business woman; however, family was most important to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty Eleanor was the loving matriarch in her family. She was amazingly generous, spunky, caring, hospitable, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved playing games and always played to win. She was never afraid to stand up for what was right; loved God, her family, and her church. She was a grand lady. Betty Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Isaac, her husband Grady; brother Kenneth Sadler; and sister Louise Harrison. She is survived by her daughters; Betty Ann and husband Bob Luttrull and Nancy and husband Larry Hoffman; four grandchildren, Mark and wife Julie Luttrull, Rob and wife Lynda Luttrull, Stephen Hoffman, and Cheryl and husband Kent Holt; five great grandchildren, Nick Luttrull, Levi Luttrull, Wren Luttrull, Isaac Holt, and Aaron Holt; nieces, Susan Sadler, Libby and husband Steve Steakley, Christie (Harrison) and husband Robert Burchfield, and Cindy Harrison. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at First Baptist Church Muskogee with Dr. Don Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Luttrull, Larry Hoffman, Mark Luttrull, Rob Luttrull, Kent Holt, and Robert Burchfield.
