Beulah Parker

Miss Beulah Parker went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2016. She was born on January 28, 1925 in Webbers Falls, OK to Arch H. Parker and Leona (Willyard) Parker. Beulah grew up and attended school in Webbers Falls. She graduated from high school in 1942 and was the senior class treasurer. After high school, Beulah attended Draughn Business College in Muskogee. After graduating she worked at Phoenix Federal Savings and Loan. Having been called by the Lord, she attended Baptist seminary in Kansas City and New Orleans. After graduating, she worked as the Children’s Department Director in Baptist Churches in Homa, Baton Rouge and Shreveport, Louisiana. Her last church before retirement was First Baptist in Ponca City, Ok. After retirement, she moved back home to the farm that she grew up on in Webbers Falls. Beulah loved to ski and tried to make sure everyone in the family tried it at least once. She loved people, she loved her family and friends, she loved to travel and she loved her Lord. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, Arch H. and Leona Parker; two brothers, Arch Junior Parker and James Charles Parker; one sister, Emogene Beagles; and one nephew, Kyron R. Parker. Beulah leaves behind nephews, Duane Parker and wife Paula, James Parker and wife Carol, Steve Martin and wife Francie, Mike Parker and friend Randy Trice; two sisters-in-law, Iris Parker and Marcellene Hamil; grand nephews, Brad Martin, Brant Parker, Brian Parker, Chance Parker, Clint Parker and Stephen Martin II; grand nieces, Melissa Martin and Trina Griffin; several great grand nephews and nieces; several cousins and many cherished friends. The family requests memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. Funeral services honoring Beulah’s life will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Webbers Falls with Rev. Wendell Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee with Brad Martin, Brant Parker, Brian Parker, Chance Parker, Clint Parker and Stephen Martin II serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Melissa Martin, Trina Griffin and Randy Trice.
