Bobby Roy Murr

Bobby Roy Murr, 78, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 with his family at his side. He was born January 1, 1944 in Oktaha, Oklahoma to Bob and Lois (Moore) Murr. He attended Oktaha Public School and graduated with the class of 1961. He furthered his education at OSU Technology in Okmulgee and graduated in 1963. Bobby worked for Union Pacific Railroad and retired in 2004 after many years of service. He married Barbara Ann Lindsey on February 3, 1995 at Lake of the Ozarks. They shared more than 27 years of life, marriage, and memories together. Bobby enjoyed camping, fishing, helping others with projects, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Lois Murr; brothers, Carl Murr and Arthur Murr; and niece, Leisha Murr. Bobby is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; daughter, Oalivia Shae Garcia and husband Orlando of Ramona, OK; sons, Charles David Murr and wife Indira of Tulsa, OK, Dean Ray Derryberry of North Little Rock, AR, Michael Wayne Derryberry and wife Missie of Cabot, AR; grandchildren, Daniel A Garcia, Nathanael, Joshua and Levi Murr, Allie G Surdam and husband Logan, and Eliza S Derryberry; siblings, Thelma Clements and husband John of Evanston, WY, JoAn Crabtree and husband Larry of Oktaha, OK, Dale Murr and wife Debbie of Ft Worth, TX; nephews and nieces, Raymond Murr, Christie Martin, Carl Murr, DeAnna Licatovich, Deniese Murr, Stephen Crabtree, Vicki Hackler, Nikki Thompson, April Cantrell, Brigg Lindsey, Heather Icenhower, Holly Bennett and Heath Bennett; along with other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends from 1-3PM, Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration for Bobby will be at 2PM, Monday, July 25, 2022 at Grandview Tabernacle in Muskogee, Oklahoma with Pastor Terry Tatum officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Daniel A Garcia, Levi J Murr, Nathan D Murr, Haden R Hackler, Joshua M Murr and Austin W Hackler serving as pallbearers.
