Brett Keith Doty Sr.

Brett Keith Doty, Sr., 26, of Muskogee, Oklahoma was born on April 29, 1991 to Paulette McBride-Manus and Kenneth Doty. God took him on Friday, November 10, 2017. Brett was baptized on July 20, 2014 at Vann Lake Church by Rev. Tommy Hobbs and Rev. Dale Carey. His children were the light of his life. Brett went to every school function his 2 oldest children had. His aunt Tina would always give into him just because of his smile. He enjoyed being with family and friends and loved when his brother cooked out. Brett’s nickname was “Bubba” and was also called “Moon” by his great-grandfather. Even when Brett didn’t make it to church, he made sure he read his bible as he had a strong relationship with the Lord. Brett wasn’t perfect but he had a good heart. He was always there for his family and friends. Brett loved giving his siblings and cousins a hard time but he was always there for them no matter what. He left us with memories that will forever live on. Brett was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, John and Susie Kelly; maternal aunt and uncle, Anita and Bryan; paternal grandfather, James Doty; and paternal great-grandfather, Eugene McBride. He is survived by his children, Jorden, Jayden, Kaiden, Brett Jr. Doty and Brayden Brucker; mother and step-father, Paulette McBride-Manus and Johnnie; father, Kenneth Doty; brother, Nick McBride; sister, Jaycee Doty; step-siblings, Brett and Izabel Manus; nephews, Adrian and Collin; grandparents, Sharon Kelly-McBride, and Harold and Shirley McBride; great-grandmother, Anna McElhaney; cousins, Alaina Perry, Joshua, Laurynn and Abby McBride; and a host of family and friends to remember him. A wake service will be 6:30-7:30, Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Brett’s life will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 17, 2017 at Butler Creek Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Daniels and Rev. Tommy Hobbs officiating. Interment will be at Butler Creek Cemetery with Nicholas McBride, Joshua McBride, Kevin Crossland, Quinton Murphy, Steven Thouvenel and Larry Burrel serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bradley Butcher, Brent Woods, Derrick Washington and Donell Spencer.
