Callie Nicole Slader

Callie Nicole Slader, aka “Doodlebug”, 8, of Muskogee passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011. She was born October 12, 2002 to Dennis Eugene Slader and Amber Dawn Madewell. She was a precious little girl with a tough spirit and heart. She fought many battles with her illness. Callie was full of smiles and made everyone around her smile. She touched many people. Callie will be missed but never forgotten. Saturday, Callie came to know peace. She attended Muskogee First Assembly of God and Hilldale Special Education Program Lower Elementary. The family expresses a special “Thank you” to Mrs. Shari Sides and staff. Callie was preceded in death by her great grandparent, J.C. “Papa” Hiler, grandparents, Virgil and Joyce Gipson, and cousin, Jimmy Raley. She is survived by her parents, Amber and Nick Madewell, Dennis and Chelise Slader; brothers, Hudson Madewell, Brodey Slader, and Blake Miller; grandparents, Mike and Pam Tickel, Don and Mickey Madewell, Terry Moore, Stanley and Ivy Slader; James and Debbie East, Duard and Joni Rhodes; great grandparents, Deloris and Gene Tickel, Doris Hiler, David and Cherry Crater; aunts and uncles: Stephanie and Chap Williams, Ashley Tickel, Alyson and Austin Madewell, Lauren and Shane Scott, Brian and Christy Slader, Tyler and Tamara Campbell, Richard and Janie Slader, Bruno and Becki Jeraminas; great aunts and uncles, Gail and Dean Thompson, Susan and Connie Amerson, Cindy Rogers, David Hiler, and Bluie Ford; cousins, Brittany Loftin and Kyle Slader; special friends, Yavonna Wright and Miss Carlye; and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to note a special appreciation to the doctors and nurses at St. Francis Children’s Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Muskogee First Assembly of God with Pastor Steve Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Andrews, Bill Vaughn, Jeremy Hayes, John Richerson, Austin Eller, Jeremy Ragsdale, Jarred Russell, and Kevin Schmidt. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Harris, Shelby Jackson, Dr. Michael Kayser, Terry Cook, Kyle Slader, Brandt Hiler, and Jason Fullerton.
