Carole B. McBride

Carole B. McBride, 71, of Muskogee, Oklahoma entered Heaven’s gates on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. She was born December 9, 1947 in Marvell, Arkansas to Simuel and Ruth Davis. She attended grade school in California and high school in Clarksville, Arkansas. Carole furthered her education at Oklahoma University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from Northeastern State University. She married the love of her life, Hershel R. McBride, on June 28, 2000 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They shared more than 19 years of life, making memories, and marriage together. Carole served the students at Muskogee Public Schools as a teacher and counselor for many years and retired in 2010. She was a faithful member of Muskogee First Baptist Church, a lady Shriner, a charter member of Muskogee Morning Lions Club, and served as the chairperson for the Board Muskogee Housing Authority. She will always be remembered as a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simuel and Ruth Davis; and sister, Linda Haltom. Carole is survived by her loving husband, Hershel, of the home; her children, Mike Boger and wife Jayceete, Jayzen Boger, Ashley Boger, Robert Boger, and Rebecca Boger; step-sons, Steve McBride and wife Julee, Stan McBride and family; grandsons, Caleb, Cody, and Brandon McBride; brothers, Bill Davis and wife Becky and their children, Alicia Dickerson and husband James, Jan Williams and husband Steven, Billy Davis Jr; brother-in-law, Gerald Haltom and his son Justin Haltom; along with many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30pm, Friday, September 6, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services celebrating Carole’s life will be 10AM, Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Al Smithee officiating and Rev. Guy Parrish assisting. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Ryan Williams, Billy Davis Jr, and her grandsons, Caleb McBride, Jayzen Boger, Brandon McBride, and Cody McBride serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Sparks, France Reitz Sr, Gary Dunlap, Jack Jenkins, Jim Bushnell, Charles Evans, Gene Foster, and Harold Willard.
