Dana R. Croftcheck

Dana Rhea Arnwine Croftcheck of Keefeton, Oklahoma was born on May 21, 1973, to Mark and Carolyn (Moore) Arnwine in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She attended school at Hilldale Public Schools and enjoyed playing softball. She graduated from Warner High School, and later from Northeastern State University with her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. Dana enjoyed 35 years of marriage to the love of her life, Joe Croftcheck, who she married on November 11, 1988, at Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church. During her teaching career, Dana taught at Muskogee County Headstart, then at Hilldale Elementary School where she considered it a privilege to “Educate the World” and to show the children about life, usually having a class pet, to help teach the children about responsibility and caring for one another. Dana was a member of Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church where she came to know Jesus as her Savior. Dana had a deep love for her Lord and Savior. She spent many summers organizing and directing Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed watching the kids learning about Jesus and enjoying all the fun and games. Dana and Joe spent time developing the youth group at Keefeton Trinity, taking them to the Falls Creek Youth Camp, to the Youth Evangelism Conferences, and encouraging them at weekly devotional times. Dana and Joe enjoyed working with the youth of Keefeton Trinity and seeing them developing into Christian Leaders. The joy of Dana’s life was her family. In May of 1989, Dana and Joe welcomed their son, Colten Chase, “Her Bouncing Baby Boy” who she adored. She loved spending time with him – watching him play sports – baseball, football, weightlifting; out riding ATVs or swimming; even just checking the cows. She loved watching him grow into a loving father and Christian husband to Laci K who she adored as a daughter that she never had. As Dana and Joe began to be gifted with their nieces and nephews – Dana loved and spoiled each one of them as her own. And her greatest joy was being a Granny. She loved and adored her precious grandchildren. Oh, how she enjoyed being able to “stay at home” and care for her grandchildren. Dana was known for her fierce and unwavering love of family and her inner strength as she battled cancer with Joe – her unwavering rock – by her side. Dana was surrounded by all her loving family as she peacefully went home to her Lord on January 21, 2024. Dana was preceded in death by her father, Mark Arnwine. Left behind to cherish her memory, is her loving husband, Joe; her mother, Carolyn Arnwine; her sister, Crystal Arnwine; her father and mother-in-law, Tom and Judy Croftcheck; her son and daughter-in-law, Colten Chase and Laci Croftcheck; her precious grandchildren, Brystol Anne, Grey Wilder, and Silas Koe Croftcheck; and a great loving family including her Keefeton Trinity Church family and many friends. Dana’s life will be celebrated at 2PM, Friday, January 26, 2024 at Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Haley officiating. The honorary pallbearers will the boys of the youth group of Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church.
