Darrin Brett Visor

Darrin Brett Visor, 57, of Braggs, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. He was born on October 4, 1964 to Bill and Charlotte (Frazier) Visor in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended and graduated from Checotah High School in 1982. He married his best friend, Sonja Dishman on March 26, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared 32 years of marriage and memories together. His family owned a shoe store and a grocery store. He worked at their grocery store as the meat market manager for several years until opening his own business ATnT with his wife. He later went to work for the city of Muskogee in their water distribution department until retiring in 2009. Darrin went by many aliases including Uncle D, Papa Bear, Papa D, and Uncle Pretty! He was the #1 Wildcats fan, attending every Braggs High School basketball, baseball, softball, and volleyball game. He loved to chill at the Red Ball and the Lucky Ducks’ machines, and poker tables. He was an excellent pool player, playing on the Muskogee BCA League. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4042, in Muskogee. He was a member of a couple motorcycle clubs, he loved flattin’ the hills, straightenin’ the curves, and making memories with his best friends and family. He loved to play ‘Shoot the Moon’ in dominos, to sing karaoke, (he did a MEAN Red Sovine-Teddy Bear), and to watch racing (he was a true Nascar fan). He also loved to spend time at the Fort Gibson Dam with all his boys. He loved to sit and watch them fish and always made sure to tell them how to bait their hooks! He was preceded in death by his son, Tyler Visor; nieces, Hunter Teague and Julie Dishman; grandparents, Jess and Grace Frazier; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Dishman. He is survived by his wife, Sonja Dishman-Visor of the home; children, Dakota and Makayla of the home, Krystal Bennight and husband Danny of Webbers Falls, OK, Brett Visor and wife Jessica of Burnt Cabin, OK; grandchildren, Shaylinn, Shane, Dade, Sydney, Ethan, Kylie, Arie, Grayson, and Marshall; parents, Billy Dale Visor and Charlotte Joyce Visor of Checotah, OK; sisters, Kelley Teague and husband Rob of Checotah, OK, Donnita Park of Eufaula, OK; brothers-in-law, Kevin Dishman and wife Nikki of Braggs, OK, Chris Dishman and wife Crystal of Muskogee, OK, Adam Dishman and wife Brooke of Warner, OK; brother, Tony Boyer and wife Leslie of Muskogee, OK and David Callison and wife Jenny of Porum, OK; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim and Sandy Dishman of Braggs, OK; nieces and nephews, Cadeyn Teague, Derek Park, Lacey Park, Tara Park, Dylan Anglen, Cheyenne Dishman, Sierra Dishman, Savanna Dishman, Madison Dishman, Bo Dishman, Brystal Dishman, Waylon Dishman, Adysen Dishman, Jimmie Dean Dishman, Canyon Miller, Kindra Overton, Caden Dishman, Caleb Dishman, Alley Bush, J.J. Callison, Audrey Bush, Kyle Callison, Arron Callison, and Bradley Callison; numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A celebration of Darrin’s life will be 2PM, Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Community Gospel Center in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma with Pastor John Overton officiating. Interment will follow at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, Oklahoma with Dakota Visor, Brett Visor, Danny Bennight, Shane Bennight, Dade Visor, Brandon Gauntt, Chandler Wing, Colten Burk, and Shawn Fullen all serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Teague, Kevin Dishman, Chris Dishman, Adam Dishman, David Callison, and Tony Boyer.
