Donald Dale Kizzia

Donald “Dale” Kizzia, 79, of Braggs, Oklahoma passed away on May 26, 2012. Dale was born to Babe and Bill Kizzia at the Calvert family home in Braggs, Oklahoma on November 8, 1932. He grew up and attended Braggs Public Schools, graduating from high school in 1951. After high school he served our country in the United States Army for two years during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he attended Northeastern State University. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in education, specializing in coaching. He dearly loved baseball, basketball, and all school sports. He taught at several schools including Okay and Inola public schools. Upon retirement from the public school system, he worked at various other jobs including the County of Muskogee. Hunting and fishing were lifelong hobbies for Dale. He was a member of the Jesus Name Church of Braggs where he served as a deacon for many years. Dale was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and citizen of Braggs. He will be greatly missed by his family. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Scott Kizzia; sister, Muriel Thomas and brother, Billy Kizzia. He is survived by his three daughters, Mureilene and Husband Rex Livingston of Braggs, OK, Becky Kizzia of Fort Gibson, OK, Donna Kizzia Daily of Braggs, OK; son, Chris Kizzia of Braggs, OK; nine grandchildren, Trevor, Heidi, Kindi, Britni, Tanner, Tory, Kade, Baili, and Tatem; eight great grandchildren, Lexi, Jalen, Jayde, Denym, Braylon, Nyah, Turin, and Taven and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Old High school Gym in Braggs, OK with David “Bubby” Thomas and Raymond Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, OK. Family members serving as pallbearers will be Chris Kizzia, Trevor Livingston, Tory Livingston, Tatem Livingston, Rex Livingston, and Tanner Livingston. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kade Kizzia, Jim Kizzia, Joe Cash, Greg Humphrey, R.L. Bell, Ronnie Kizzia, Ricky Kizzia, Boone Kizzia, Terry Kizzia, Steve Thomas and Gordon Walker.
