Donna Kay Pittman

Donna Kay (Miller) Pittman was born December 2, 1954 in Checotah, Oklahoma to Susie and Buck Miller. Her journey on this earth ended Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. In her early years, Donna attended Wainwright Grade School and Oktaha High School where she excelled in the classroom, on the basketball court, and made life-long friends. Many hours of fun were also enjoyed with her family on Eufaula Lake boating, fishing, and water skiing. Donna loved her family; especially her boys. Bennie, their three sons, and three grandsons were her world. When she met Bennie in high school and fell in love, being a wife and mother became her goal. She loved basketball, her friends, and spending time at the lake BUT she loved Bennie more. They were married in 1972, she graduated in 1973, and Ben was born in 1974. With her goal accomplished, Donna became a loving, caring, and devoted wife, Mom, and Nanna. She was a self-taught artist. She especially enjoyed sewing, painting, crafting with her hands, and helping the boys tinker and work on their cars. Donna’s first paying job was working after school at Wolfinger’s Drive-In but later in life she worked for several employers including Creek Nation, Cherokee Nation, and Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her three sons, Jesse Therman Pittman, Joe Eagletayl Pittman, and Bennie Duane Pittman III; her mom, Susie (Taylor) Miller; mother-in-law, Grace (Redeagle) Pittman; grandparents, Leatha and Vernon Miller, and Georgia and Charles Taylor; and her step-brother, Ted Spradlin. Donna is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bennie; grandsons, Taylor Ford Pittman, Tanner Fox Pittman and wife Haley, Trapper Folsum Pittman; her daddy, Elza (Buck) Miller and wife Mary; father-in-law, Bennie Duane Pittman Sr.; sisters, Beverly Newton and husband David, Glenna Murr and husband Jerry; sister-in-law, Linda Puckett and husband Charlie; aunt, Maurice Taylor; step-brothers, Mike Spradlin, Darrel Spradlin and wife Sherri, James Spradlin and wife Sheila; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Donna (affectionately nicknamed “Slick” by Bennie, and “Dude” by her sisters) will be sorely missed but her acceptance of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior brings peace knowing she is in Heaven with her children. A memorial service for Donna and her son, Ben will be 11AM, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel.
