Gary M Adamson

Gary Milton Adamson, age 59, born on June 25, 1957 to Milton and Judy Adamson, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 17, 2016. His formative years were spent in Muskogee and then he graduated with the Vinita High School Class of 1975. After attending Northeastern A & M in Miami, OK, he began a career in construction as a carpenter and millwright. In 1990, after achieving his career goal of construction superintendent, Gary became disabled from an auto accident. He continued to enjoy traveling, spending quality time with his family and many outdoor activities. Gary married the love of his life, Lisa Bass, on May 28, 1977 at Shiloh Baptist Church. God blessed them with a daughter and son and as each married, two bonus children. Gary’s life was doubly blessed with the births of his three grandsons. He was an active member of Southeast Baptist Church and enjoyed worship and fellowship with his church family. Gary became a permanent fixture in the church office as he happily accompanied Lisa each weekday. With a smile and outstretched hand, he would greet all visitors. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Adamson and Judy Salyer; sister, Mary Sue Charles, and mother-in-law, Barbara Bass. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lisa; daughter, Tiffany Adamson-Bowley and husband Jarrod and their sons, Jaxon, Kasen and Laken Bowley; son, Jason Adamson and wife Lacey; sister, Shary Mullens and husband Terry; brother, Jerry Adamson and wife Shannon; brother-in-law, J.L. Charles; father-in-law, J.B. Bass and wife Mari; sisters-in-law, Gayle Yarbrough and husband David, Stacye Beane and husband Bill; brother-in-law, David Bass and wife Patty, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Pallbearers are nephews, Jeremy Bass, Beau Beane, Corey Kiefer, Colby Mullens, Hunter Mullens, Tanner Mullens, Blake Yarbrough and Nathan Yarbrough. Honorary pallbearers are nieces and nephews, Kaleigh Beane, Kary Charles, Larry Charles, Kelly Charles and Calley West. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Services celebrating Gary’s life will be at 2 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2016 at Southeast Baptist Church of Muskogee with Pastors David Yarbrough and Mike Murray officiating. Donations can be made in memory of Gary to the Southeast Baptist Church Building Fund.
