Glen Earl Greer

Heaven gained an angel on April 25, 2022. Glen Earl Greer was born February 2, 1937 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Margaret Greer (Sturm). Glen grew up in Muskogee, and in his younger days helped his dad on his milk route. He graduated from Central High in 1955. After graduation, he worked as an ironworker and later owned a service station in Muskogee. He met his bride, Frankie Cox through one of his friends, Sparky Holder who was married to Frankie’s sister. The two were married in 1960 and had three children, Bret, Kirk, and Gaye Lynn. Glen had a love for the Lord, his wife, his family, fishing, tinkering, and woodworking in his shop. He retired from OG&E as a Substation Repairman after 40 years of service in 1994. During his retirement, Glen enjoyed taking road trips with Frankie and their friends, and camping with their grandchildren. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events. Throughout his life, Glen served the Lord as a Deacon at Riverside Christian Church and York Street Christian Church. At the time of his death, he was a member of Muskogee Church of Christ. Glen was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Margaret Greer and his brother Charles Greer. Glen is survived by his wife Frankie Greer, three children and their spouses, Bret and Linda Greer, Kirk and Kathy Greer, and Todd and Gaye Lynn Price; nine grandchildren, Katie Caughman, Clint Greer, Ryan Greer, Corey Greer, Travis Greer, Keristy Nieto, Kassie Kersten, Camden Price, and, Kendall Price; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn McElroy and husband George; sister-in-law, Judy Greer; and many nieces and nephews. Glen was loved very much by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 5 to 8 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Muskogee. Services, officiated by Steve Moss, will be held at Muskogee Church of Christ on Thursday, April 28 at 10 am. Pallbearers include grandsons, Clint Greer, Ryan Greer, Corey Greer, Travis Greer, Camden Price, Tyler Caughman, and Conrad Kersten. Honorary pallbearers include Charlie Raper, Louie Hutson, and Don Younger, and Kenneth Fields. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Muskogee Church of Christ’s Mission Fund.
