Jeannette Pritchard

Jeannette (Welander) Pritchard, 78, passed away on Monday, December 27th, 2021 in Muskogee, OK. She was born on September 9th,1943 to John Leonard Welander and Cornelia (Potter) Welander in Enid, OK. She graduated from Enid High School in 1961. She then went on to attend Oklahoma City University, where she graduated with her bachelor's degree in 1965. Jeannette married the love of her life Ralph William Pritchard II on September 1st, 1967 in Oklahoma City, OK. They shared many years of marriage, life, and memories together until his passing in 1986. Jeannette was a schoolteacher. She loved teaching and investing in her students’ lives. She retired from Franklin County Schools in Frankfort, KY in 1986. After retirement she was the co-owner and operator of Quick Décor & More with her sister Nancy from 1986-2003. She then went on to work for Robinson Park (Leadership Square), as the information lady in Oklahoma City, OK until 2019. She was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority (Gamma Upsilon chapter), Lyric Theater Guild, the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and Kappa Phi of Oklahoma City University. Jeannette was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed baking, gardening, playing piano, serving her community as a volunteer, and hosting small get together events in her home. She also enjoyed serving as Sunday school superintendent at the church she attended in Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph William Pritchard II; grandson, James Dean Morrison; parents John Leonard Welander and Cornelia Potter Welander; brothers-in-law, Larry LeRoy Johnson, James Stedman Bostick, Jerry Paul Pritchard and several other family members including aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Jeannette is survived by her only child Nannette Pritchard Morrison and her husband Michael James Morrison of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Shelby Dolores Cleary and Bradley William Mark Cleary of Mustang, OK; sister, Nancy Sigrid Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK; nephews, Scott William Frakes and family of Norman, OK, Steven Don Frakes and family of Edmond, OK, Robert John Frakes and daughter Chandler Ellen Frakes of Austin, TX; sister-in-law Virginia S. and husband Donald E. Johnson of Clover, SC; nephew, Edward Johnson and family of Clover, SC; nieces, Susan Ramsey and family of Clover, SC, Candace Parham of Flinstone, GA; sister-in-law Martha L. Bostick of Gastonia, NC; nephew William Stedman Bostick (Bill) and family of Belmont, NC; nephew James Chandler Bostick (Jimbo) and family of Colfax, NC, and niece Amy Cheryl Noles and family of Winston-Salem, NC, plus many other family members. There are no memorial services planned at this time. Cremation services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home 1830 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403.
