Jeffrey Dale Harris

Jeffrey Dale Harris 1985-2016 After battling complications from open heart surgery, to replace a defected congenital aortic valve, our angel left this world on May 16, 2016 to spend his eternal life in Heaven. He was 30 years old. Jeff entered into this life on November 29, 1985 to proud parents, Berry and Beverly Harris in Muskogee, OK. Jeff was very intelligent and had many accomplishments. He worked as a paramedic. He was also a licensed electrician and licensed welder. He worked a couple of years doing pipeline welding and pipeline safety officer. Growing up he worked with his dad as an electrician but his passion was being a paramedic where he enjoyed helping others. Jeff excelled at everything he set out to do. He played baseball, football, soccer, golf, and enjoyed riding four wheelers, dirt bikes, and street bikes. Jeff was an avid golfer, receiving a golf scholarship from NSU, after graduating from Ft. Gibson High School in 2004, as an honor student. He lived in Port Saint Lucie, FL for a year and a half working as an electrician before returning home to Muskogee in February of this year, to return to his passion of working on an ambulance. Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Janet Lively; paternal grandfather, J.D. Harris; aunt, Lori Murray and husband Joe. He leaves behind his very proud parents, Berry and Beverly Harris of Muskogee, OK; his sister, Dr. Jennifer Howell and husband Grant of Muskogee, OK; grandmother, Nora Harris of Ft. Gibson, OK; uncle, Bobby Harris and wife Melanie of Muskogee, OK; aunt, Janie Slader and husband Richard of Ft. Gibson, OK, uncle, Jim Lively Jr of Muskogee, OK; aunt, Julie Todd and husband Bret of Muskogee, OK; several cousins, other family members, and many many friends. Funeral services honoring Jeff’s life will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Parker officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Forrest, Mark Forrest, Grant Howell, Ernie Bindrum, Dale Morris, Matt Rafalko, and Chris Burke. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Estep II. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
