Jody Lee Rogers

Jody Lee Rogers was born on September 28th, 1960 to James and Nadine (West) Rogers. He was taken home to his Heavenly Father on Friday March 24th, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones at home. He was the baby of five children and was treated as such. He graduated from Oktaha High School in 1978. From there he attended Tulsa Welding School that sparked a love in the trade that would last throughout his life. He worked his career as a welder, pipeliner, pipe fitter, fabricator, and inspector. Jody worked his way across the U.S. and outside the U.S. on many different jobs in which he made many, many friends. When he was not off on a job you would often find him working on one of his many projects around his home or in his church Keefeton Trinity Baptist where he attended for 62 years. In 1991 Jody met the love of his life Sandra Lee (Wofford) Rogers and her daughter, Randell Lee. Throughout their 32 years of marriage Jody and Sandy had three children together Jody Paul, James Olen, and Julie Nicole. They were blessed with nine grandchildren who were Jody’s pride and joy until the day he left this Earth. He is preceded in death by his father, James Rogers; mother, Nadine (West) Rogers; sister, Barbara Hill; and nephew, Joshua Bryan. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Wofford Rogers; and their children, Randell Lee Gattenby and husband Enoch Gattenby, Jody Paul and wife Ashlee Rogers, James and wife Amanda Rogers, and Julie Rogers all of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Jonathan, Beau, Hayden, Westlyn, Case, Barrett, Jace, Tanner, and Emma Rogers; siblings, Diana Fisher, Kathy Cox, and James Basil Rogers Jr. Jody Lee Rogers passed away in his home of 32 years surrounded by loved ones just the way he wanted. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, mason, and Christian until the day he passed. He will be missed by all those who were blessed to know the great man that he was. A celebration of Jody’s life will be 11AM, Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Haley officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jody Paul Rogers, James Olen Rogers, Bob Conley, James Basil Rogers Jr., James Hill, and Corey Bryan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Rogers, Laramie Cox, Tom Croftcheck, and Kyle Bruce.
