Jonathon "Seth" Seward

Jonathon “Seth” Seward of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at the age of 30. He was born on May 24, 1984 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Johnny Lee Seward and Susan Joyce Tolbert Seward. Seth attended Fort Gibson Public Schools and graduated with the class of 2003. He furthered his education attending Panhandle State University, Northeastern State University, and Connors State College. Seth obtained his pilot license from the University of Oklahoma. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, snow skiing, traveling, and OU football. Seth proudly served his country as a member of the United States National Guard. He served with the HHC 177th Military Police Brigade in Operation Iraqi Freedom and received an Honorable discharge. Seth was a cattleman by trade and loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Seth was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Bill and Nellie Puckett, John and Roxie Seward, Raymond, and Ona Tolbert, Vance and Vivian Fryar. He is survived by his sons, Layton and Clay; life partner, Rayanna Wood and son, Brennan; parents, Johnny and Susan Seward; sister, Lauren Seward and family, Jordan and Brody; sister, Brooke Seward; brother, Boo Seward; maternal grandparents, Lyle and Joyce Tolbert; paternal grandparents, Billie and Claybourn Seward; Aunt Lisa and Uncle Rick Nichols, Uncle David and Aunt Christy Huggins, Aunt Cheryl Scott, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Gail Seward; cousins, Conner and Chase Nichols, Rachael Scott, Jonathan, Chris, and James Huggins, Wyatt and Jordan Seward, and Mona Allain; many other family members and special friends. Funeral services honoring Seth’s life will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014 at New Community Church, 3600 E. Shawnee, Muskogee, OK., with Pastor Tim Salters and Rev. Lester Beasley officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with full Military Honors being presented. Pallbearers will be Matt Tucker, Colby Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Mickey Igert, Jeremy Dallis, Darnell Walker, Tyler Hammons, and Tristan Whitekiller. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Mealer and Roger Kinnamon.
