Judith "Judy" M. Trotter

Judith M. “Judy” Trotter, 68 of Muskogee, passed away Friday morning, January 16, 2015, surrounded by her family. “Judy” as her friends and family knew her, was born May 17, 1946 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Everest E. and Marion M. (Abers) Lawson. She grew up and attended the public schools in Southwestern Oklahoma. On April 17, 1970, Judy married the love of her life, John Carroll Trotter, at Sunset Baptist Church in Lawton, Oklahoma. They celebrated almost 45 years of marriage together. Judy operated a home daycare for many years. She knew by doing this she could affect positively the children’s future she had in her home and that she could share Jesus with the children she came in contact with. Her family kindly remembers her calling herself a “Home Engineer.” She always knew the Lord was faithful to her and her family and that He took care of their needs. Judy was an active and faithful member of New Hope Assembly of God in Muskogee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sgt. Everest Lawson and Marion Lawson; her sister, Connie Sabata; and her brother, David Lawson. Judy is survived by her husband, John of the home; her sons, Alton Ray Chapman and his wife, Jackie of Muskogee, Michael Allen Chapman and his wife, Kelli of Kingfisher, OK, John William Trotter and his wife, Jennifer of Los Angeles, CA; her grandchildren, Zachary, Dustin and Bailee of Muskogee, Tye and Taylor of Kingfisher; her sisters, Barbara Neal of Del City, OK, Roberta Jones of Houston, TX, Susan Lavallee of Lawton, OK and Nancy Johnson of Boston, MA; aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of Judy’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at New Hope Assembly of God with Pastor John Overton officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis and Shirley Haile, Phil and Jill Clements and Steve and Tammy Milligan.
