Katherine Louise Crain

Katherine Louise Crain Kathy peacefully passed away on July 13, 2024 at the age of 71, surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born November 7, 1952 at the old Baptist Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was the 8th child, out of 11 children born to Steve and Billie Ruth Jordan. She graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 1971. Her fondest memoires were of the days on 6th and Elgin St in the tiny house where her family lived, behind Mr. Green’s grocery store. Kathy and her siblings spent many happy days playing at the park on Elgin St and roaming the neighborhood. Those memories carried on to when they moved to the country on Highway 16. Kathy married the love of her life, Scottie Alfred Crain, on February 12, 1976 in Okay, Oklahoma. They were ecstatic when their son Jason Scott was born. They shared many happy memories together until Scottie passed away on July 14, 2001. Kathy said her heart was broken and she mourned him until her death one day shy of the 23rd anniversary of his death. Now they are strolling across heaven together. Kathy was a very funny person and was quick-witted. She was always laughing and was quite a prankster. She was also very loving and tender-hearted. Kathy was always helping people. She will be missed by all that had the privilege to meet and know her. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Billie Ruth Jordan; brothers, Raymond Rogers, Jerry Jordan, Monte Jordan, Danny Jordan, Ronnie Jordan, Alan “Beau” Geste Jordan Sr.; sisters, Sue Jordan and Vicki Strader; niece Tammy Rae Rogers; nephews, Cory Alexander Davis and Alan Beau Geste Jordan Jr. She is survived by her son, Jason Scott Crain; bonus daughter, Ashley Tincher Bertalot; grandchildren, Aidan Crain of Tulsa, OK, and Mary Sunshine Price and husband Jamie of Tahlequah, OK; great-grandchildren, Eddie Price and Sunshine Price both of Tahlequah, OK; brother, Billy Jordan and wife Randy Lynn of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Sherry Davis and husband Walter of Muskogee, OK; very special bonus brother and sister, David and Betty Roberts of Hot Springs, AR; special niece, friend and confidant, Jeanna Cunningham, of Muskogee, OK. She was always there when she was needed; bonus grandchildren, who she loved and adored, Walker John, Kaia John, Sampson John and Sayre Shine John all of Muskogee, OK; many loving nieces and nephews; a cousin who was like a brother, Larry Newberry of Tulsa, OK; so many dear friends from childhood, school and her career at Walmart. Her Walmart friends were like family. The family would like to thank Med Corp, her nurse of 10 years, Hetherle Cantrell and her special aid, Jessica Bolte. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be 10AM, Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Echols officiating.
