Kenneth L. Luck

Kenneth L. Luck, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Central in Muskogee. He was born September 17, 1944, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, and was later adopted by W.B. and Erma Luck of Muskogee. He was a 1962 graduate of Muskogee Central High School as well as a 1967 graduate of Northeastern State University. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Couch, on September 1, 1967 who he was married to for 51 years. He accepted Christ at an early age and served as a song leader at the Central Church of Christ in Muskogee for several years. In 1968, he was drafted into the United States Army and served his nation in the Vietnam Conflict as a Field Artillery Specialist. Kenneth truly lived life to the fullest and had an affinity for vocal music as well as influencing & mentoring countless young men through his love of baseball. He possessed a generous heart, believed in people, and never met anyone who he wouldn’t help. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, W.B. and Erma Luck; and his step-mother, Bessie Luck. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; and his two sons, Kevin and his wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City, and Kent and his wife Amy of Perrysburg, Ohio; his brother, Charles Emerson and his wife Judy of Broken Arrow; his two sisters, Janice Ward and her husband Joe of Muskogee, and Pat Miner of Eufaula; his brother-in-law, Ronald Couch of Muskogee; his two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Green of Eugene, Oregon, and Alice Ross of Independence, Missouri; his four grandchildren Cameron Luck and his wife Joyce of Mercer Island, Washington, Colin Luck of Mercer Island, Washington, Cooper and Kennedy Luck of Perrysburg, Ohio; his two great-grandchildren, Cruz and Cristiana Luck of Mercer Island, Washington; his five nephews, Jason Emerson and his wife Crystal of Oklahoma City, Clint Emerson and his wife Amy of Broken Arrow, Zachary Ross and his wife Catherine of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, Hayden Ross of Kansas City, Missouri, and John Green and his wife Amy of Eugene, Oregon; and his niece, Alisha Couch of Muskogee. Family, friends, and others whose lives Kenneth touched are invited to attend his graveside memorial service at Fort Gibson National Cemetery on Monday, April 29, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 N.
