Larry Clinton George

Larry Clinton George, 66, of Oktaha, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 with his family at his side. He was born November 13, 1955 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to George Willis and Elsie Lee (Ervin) George. Larry spent his elementary years at Wainwright Public School where he was active in 4H. He then attended Oktaha High School where he was active in FFA and graduated in 1974. He married Kimberly Jean Elmenhorst on February 2, 2002 at Honor Heights Park in Muskogee. They enjoyed more than 20 years of life, marriage and making memories together. In his younger years, Larry worked at the Eller dairy farm, Trade Winds Motel, Grffin's Foods and then as a rancher. Lastly, he worked at Acme Engineering and retired in 2019 after 42 years of service. Larry loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting and raising cattle. At the end of his work day he loved taking his dogs, Jorja Reilly and Peanut for a buggy ride checking on the cattle. He went to Wainwright First Baptist Church where he was saved and baptized. He later attended Liberty Community Church where he was a deacon. Larry loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie George; grandparents, Johnny and Lizzie George, Claude and Delphia Ervin; and nephew, Justin Lee Love. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Kim of the home; sons, Chase George of Tulsa, Craig George and wife Madison of Broken Arrow; special son to Larry, Rusty George; brother, Rick George; nephews, Rusty and Shirlene George of Oktaha, Dusty George and wife Chelsea of Warner; sister, Susan and Bobby Young of Hulbert; nephew, Clayton and Meagan Love of Hulbert; sisters-in-law, Sandra Rawlings and fiancé Jeff Berryhill of Catoosa, Susan Menskin and husband Travis of Choctaw; father-in-law, Jim Elmenhorst of Oktaha; mother-in-law, Mary Elmenhorst of Muskogee; along with several nieces, nephews, a great-nephew, other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM, Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel. Larry’s life will be celebrated at 10AM, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Pratt and Mr. Charlie Puckett officiating. Interment will follow at Middleton Chapel Cemetery with Shane Allen, Ryan Maxwell, Eric Walters, Shelby Jackson, Chandler Jackson and Teddy Newell IV serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Eller, Pete Moffett, Mark Mullins, DeWayne Edwards and Paul Brown.
