Linda Kay Oman

Linda Kay Oman, 64, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 25, 1950 in Checotah, Oklahoma to James Baker Andrews and Florene Carter Andrews. Linda attended public schools and graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 1968. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and retired after 34 years of service. Linda also attended Irene’s Beauty College which later became Virgil’s Beauty College. She married William Allen Oman Sr. on March 5, 1982 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Linda enjoyed camping, fishing, playing darts, cards, and shuffleboard. She loved to go on cruises and travel as much as possible. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, all whom she loved very much. Linda was loved by many and will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Allen Oman Sr.; her father, James Baker Andrews; and her son-in-law, Randal Rehn. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Eastside Community Church Children & Youth Fund, 500 E Peak Blvd, Muskogee, OK 74403. Linda is survived by her daughters, Danielle Hathaway and husband, Brian of Okay, OK and Rae Lynn Rehn of Broken Arrow, OK; step son, William Allen Oman Jr of Muskogee; her grandchildren, Breana Hathaway, Allie Hathaway, Megan Rehn, and Elizabeth Bellah; her mother, Florene Andrews; her twin brother, Lanny Ray Andrews and wife, Sue of Muskogee, brother, James Dwight Andrews and wife, Alice of New Caney, TX; her sister, Nancy Ann Cowan and husband, John of Muskogee; special friends, Mary and Ray Arce, Marcia Tingel, and Diane Goddard Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Funeral services celebrating Linda’s life will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with John Cowan III, Gary L McElmurry Jr, Brian Hathaway, Ray Arce, Gary L McElmurry Sr, and Brian McElmurry serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be William Allen Oman Jr.
