Lois Elaine Webb

Lois Elaine Webb, 85, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was born November 2, 1931 to Marvin Lee Mitchell and Ora Marie Mitchell in Jefferson, Oklahoma. Lois married the love of her life, Kenneth Duane Webb, on October 8, 1950. They shared over 66 years of life and marriage together. Lois worked for the Muskogee Daily Phoenix from 1964 – 1966 and was a MYF Youth Leader from 1969 – 1975. She also worked at Muskogee High School as the Attendance Clerk from 1968 – 1975. She proudly graduated from Bacone College with an Associates of Arts Degree; where she was an Assistant Librarian from 1975 – 2003. Lois retired from Muskogee Public Library after working there from 2004 – 2013. She loved her family very much and loved spending time with them. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Marie Mitchell; brother, Bob Mitchell; In-laws, Walter and Evelyn Webb; and brother-in-law, Dale Rapp. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Kenneth Webb of the home; sons, Mike Webb and wife Dale of Muskogee, OK, and Greg Webb and wife Patti of Stillwater, OK; granddaughter, Jennifer Luttrell of Edmond, OK; grandsons, Eric Webb of Ft. Worth, and Taylor Webb and wife Nicole of Oshkosh, WI; great granddaughter, Makinley Luttrell of Edmond, OK; sisters-in-law, Louis Rapp of Enid, OK, and Phyllis Mitchell of Anthony, KS; many nieces and nephews; and all the incredible Bacone Basketball Alumni that she was known to as, “Gran-Ma”. Her family will receive visitors 5:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A celebration of Lois’ life will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 27, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Muskogee with Dr. Jack Kemper and Chaplain Cindy Culver Officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Dennis James, Spencer Rosson, Carl Critchfield, Roy Entz, Cecil Luke, and Bob Weaver serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be V. David Miller, Nancy Malone, Bill Ricketts, and Rick Crossland.
