Lonnie Ray Hogan

Lonnie Ray Hogan, a lifelong resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 5, 1958, in Muskogee to Eddie Ezra and Dixie Lee (Kidder) Hogan. Lonnie grew up in Muskogee and attended local public schools, graduating from Muskogee High School with the Class of 1976. From a young age, he carried a strong work ethic and a determination to build something of his own. He did exactly that when he founded L. R. Hogan Trucking Company, a business he proudly owned and operated for many years. Lonnie was known for his reliability, his honesty, and the way he treated every customer and driver with respect. He retired in 2020 after a long and successful career. He married the love of his life, Jane Bresser in August of 1989 sharing more than 38 years of life, marriage, and memories together this September. He will always be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing. He enjoyed touring on motorcycles with Jane. He raced motorcycles for many years. He also raised AKC show dogs and enjoyed showing them. Lonnie’s life was rooted in family, community, and the familiar roads of the place he called home. He was a man who valued hard work, loyalty, and the simple joys of everyday life. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his quiet humor, and the way he always showed up when someone needed him. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, love, and the countless memories shared with family and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Dixie Hogan; and his sister-in-law, Margaret Bresser Williams. Lonnie is survived by his loving wife, Jane of the home; daughter, Kathryn Henshaw, DVM and husband Scott of League City, TX; and their children, Robert, Gabriel, Christopher; son, John A. Graves of Muskogee; sister, Tracy Murray and husband Dale of Muskogee; niece, April Goodson and husband Joe and their children, Braden Carter, Jagger Carter, Brody Goodson, Journey Goodson, Lynnon Goodson, Cash Lynn Goodson, and Axxl Goodson; nephew, Jacob Murray and wife Becka and their children, Ryleigh Murray and Kaizer Murray; and stepsister, Michelle Jennings and husband Dewayne; along with other family members and friends. A celebration of Lonnie’s life will be at 10:30AM, Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Timothy Baptist Church. The family would like to express a very special “Thank You” to the staff of ACG Hospice, Dr. Gary Lambert, and Lonnie’s last nurse, Amy, was a true God send as Lonnie thought the world of her.
