Mark Anthony Bolding

Mark Anthony Bolding, 61, of Muskogee, OK entered Heaven's gates on Monday, January 4, 2021. He was born on December 15, 1959 to Lewis and Doris Bolding in Wichita, KS. Mark attended grade school in the U.S. and overseas while his father served in the military. He was baptized on September 10, 1972 at the age of 12 in the Mediterranean Sea. Mark graduated from Muskogee High School in 1977 and then attended Connors State College. Mark met the love of his life and soulmate, Brenda Ellis and they were married on June 24, 1978. They were able to spend 42 years together welcoming two children, Danny and Samantha, to their family. Mark worked at Acme Engineering for 31 years as a computer programmer analyst before finding his dream job in Emergency Management where he worked for the state of Oklahoma. He then worked for the City of Muskogee as the Emergency Management Director until later retiring in 2017. Mark also served on the Hilldale School Board for 15 years from 1987 to 2002. He enjoyed racing, shooting guns, metal detecting, spending time with his family, and coaching his kids' sports teams. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Bolding; brother-in-law, Sidney Ellis; mother-in-law, Lavern Ellis; father-in-law, T.R. Ellis; and nephew, Cody Cookson. Mark is survived by his wife, Brenda Bolding of the home; daughter, Samantha Bolding of the home; son, Danny Bolding and wife Kelly of Muskogee, OK; and one incredibly special granddaughter who was his pride and joy, Keyley Bolding; mother, Doris Bolding of Muskogee, OK; brothers, Mike Bolding, Robert Bolding and wife Julia, and Stephen Bolding and wife Brenda, all of Muskogee, OK; brothers-in-law, Allen Ellis and wife Marsha, Brian Ellis and wife Elise both of Muskogee, OK; sister-in-law, Diane Ellis of Muskogee, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved, enjoyed spending time with and mentoring. A celebration of Mark Bolding’s life will be 11am, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Mr. Tony Blumenberg officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Kelly Hoffman, Jason Bass, Kaden Bass, Shawn Bass, Matt Ellis, and JJ Miranda serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Bolding, River Stairs, Stephen Bolding, and Patrick Bolding.
