Mary Frances McMahon

Mary Frances McMahon, 81, of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma entered Heaven’s Gates on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. She was born February 27, 1935 to Albert M. and Julie M. (Reese) Tate in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma. Growing up, Mary attended Mountain Grove and Webbers Falls Public Schools where she completed her education. She married the love of her life, Vernon J. McMahon on May 15, 1953 in Casa Grande, Arizona. From this happy marriage of 63 years, 3 children were born, Cathy, Debbie, and Ernest. In the early 60’s, Mary was baptized at Mountain Grove Church of Christ where she attended in her younger years. She moved back to the Gore area in 1965 and made this her home until the Lord called her home. Mary worked as an LPN for CCOM and Dr. Elgin. She also worked for Swift & Co., Valmac and later retired from Braggs School System in early 2000. Mary was a woman of many trades, and was able to accomplish anything she set her mind to do. She loved her family and friends very much and will always be remembered in their hearts as Momma Mac and Miss Mary. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Albert & Julie Tate; her 4 brothers, Raymond, John, Fred and Herbert Tate; her 2 sisters, Eva Richerson and Cora Osbourne; and her grandson, Steven Lafferty. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Vernon of the home; her daughters, Cathy Lafferty and husband Ray of Braggs, OK and Debbie Richerson of Muskogee, OK; her son; Ernie McMahon and wife Sharon of Muskogee, OK; her adored grandchildren, Greg, Matha, Wesley, Natalie, Stormy, Misty, and Mindy; her beloved 19 great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Tate and Helen McMahon both of Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends who will all miss her dearly. The family would like to express a very special “Thank You” to the staff of Carter Hospice for the care Mary received. A celebration of Mary’s life will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Hobbs and Pastor Vol Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls, OK. Pallbearers will be Cole Kiser, Stacey Hubler, Rusty Dause, Samuel Hubler, Shawn Hubler, and Shannon Hubler.
