Mary Lou Todd

Mary Lou Todd, 85, of Muskogee, Oklahoma departed from her loving family on Sunday, December 6, 2020. The Lord opened his arms and welcomed her into His eternal home. Mary was born in Vian, Oklahoma on July 28, 1935 to Claude and Opal McClendon. Mary graduated from Muskogee Central High School in May of 1953. She worked and retired after decades in the Banking industry. On September 10, 1967 in Stigler, Oklahoma Mary married the love of her life, William "Bill" Todd. She gained new family members that included Kathy, Conny, and Billie, from Bill's first marriage. Mary and Bill were blessed with their son, Bret. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to Sunday Morning Gospel radio show with Jim "Hoot Owl" Jeffries, camping, fishing, playing cards, shopping, cooking and baking. She will be remembered for her famous chicken and dumplings, cornbread, lemon cake and apple pie. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Todd; her parents, Claude and Opal (Horn) McClendon; her brother, Jackie McClendon; and one grandson, Sean. Mary is survived by her son, Bret Todd and his wife Julie Todd of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Britney, Brandon and Blade; great-grandchildren, Dash, Gemma and Gracelyn; her stepdaughter, Kathy Chadwick and her husband David Chadwick of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, David Jr. and Chemane; great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Drake, Devin, and Reece; her stepson, Conny Todd and his wife of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Courtney and Cannon; great-grandson, Cameron; her stepdaughter, Billie Reynolds of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Nichol, Zach, and Memory; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Mason, Madison, Piper, Bella, Cami, Natalie, Brookelyn, Meadow, and Paxton; her sister, Betty Jordan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her nieces, Sheila, Sandra, and Debra; her brother, Larry McClendon of Forney, Texas; her nephews Steve, Gary, and Brian. Mary also leaves behind a host of extended family members, friends, her church family, childhood friend, Lolita Myers, and a very special friend, Karen Beene. A celebration of Mary’s life will be 12PM, Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Oldham Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Glen Little officiating. All are welcome to come and celebrate Mary's life. A private graveside ceremony will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery where her cremated remains will be buried with her husband William "Bill" Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Todd, Blade Todd, Dash Dexter, Zach Reynolds, Mason Wilson, and Mason Beene.
