Opal Berniece Orman

Berniece (Hutchens) Orman, 90, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on September 29, 2021. She was born on June 22, 1931 to Arthur Norman Hutchens and Edna Ethel (Rosson) Hutchens in Braggs, Oklahoma. Berniece was a high school graduate. She married the love of her life, Charley Ray Orman, on August 5, 1946 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared many years of life, marriage, love and family together. Berniece loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them. She will always be remembered by the ones who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Edna Hutchens; her husband, Charley Ray Orman; brother, Robert James Hutchens; sisters, Virginia Fallen Horn, Hazel Alexander, Vera Huddleston, Ruby McDaniels and Carrie Weeks. Berniece is survived by her children, Peggy Willard and husband Harold of Muskogee, OK, Terry Orman, Sr. and wife Lana of Fayettville, AR, and Randy Orman and wife Michele of Wagoner, OK; grandchildren, Heather Doffin and husband Bryan of Bentonville, AR, Terry Orman, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Bentonville, AR, Lindsey Ketcham and husband Casey of Muskogee, OK, Jennifer Young and husband Bryan of Muskogee, OK, Christopher Orman of Wagoner, OK, and Tim Willard and wife Stephanie of Porter, OK; great-grandchildren, Garrett Orman and wife Kaylisa of Tulsa, OK, Kerrigan Young of Fort Gibson, OK, Baylor Young of Stillwater, OK, Taylor Orman of Bentonville, AR, Kamdyn Kating of Muskogee, OK, Landry Orman of Bentonville, OK, Turner Ketcham of Muskogee, OK, and Jacob Wright and wife Tasha of Bentonville, AR; great-great-grandchildren, Bentley Wright and Sofia Wright; and many other family members and friends. Berniece’s family will greet friends 6PM-8PM, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A celebration of Berniece’s life will be 10:30AM, Friday, October 8, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Lonnie Orman, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Dennis Yochum, Christopher Orman, Casey Ketcham, Bryan Haughey, Garrett Orman and Tim Willard serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kamdyn Kating, Turner Ketcham, Landry Orman, Bobby Hernandez, Johnny Orman, Sammy Fallen, Jimmy Fallen and Jamie Orman. Berniece’s family would like to thank the staff of both Country Garden Assistant Living and Pleasant Valley Nursing Home for their wonderful care to our mom.
