Patricia Maude "Patty" George

Patricia Maude “Patty” George, 81, passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Born on February 16th, 1944, in Big Spring, Texas, Patty was the cherished daughter of Sam Haney and Wanda Faye Riggan Haney. Raised in the heart of Texas, Patty graduated from Midland High School and soon after began the journey of a lifetime when she married her beloved, Ronald H. George, on August 17, 1963, in Midland, Texas. A woman of abiding faith, Patty was a devoted member of Muskogee First Baptist Church, where her gentle spirit and servant’s heart touched the lives of many. She was among the celebrated First Ladies at First Baptist Church in Muskogee, contributing her time and talents in fellowship and service. Patty’s creative gifts flourished throughout her life. She was a skilled artist, known for works that echoed her deep appreciation of beauty and history. Her passion extended beyond her art studio; Patty served two terms on the Muskogee City Historical Commission, tirelessly working to preserve the stories and heritage of her community. For more than twenty years, she was an active member of the local antique club, surrounded by friends who shared her love for the past and the treasures it holds. Above all, Patty cherished her family. Her nurturing spirit, devotion, and boundless love created a legacy of togetherness and warmth that endures in the hearts of all who knew her. She delighted in caring for her loved ones and treasured every moment spent together. Patty’s kindness, creativity, and unwavering faith will be forever remembered. She leaves behind a tapestry of love, service, and cherished memories that will comfort her family and friends for years to come. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Wanda Faye Haney; and stepmother, Jean Haney. Patty is survived by her loving husband, Ronald H. George of the home; her oldest son, Kyle George and his sons, Brandon George of Bedford, TX, and Michael Trevino and wife Lisa Marie and their sons, Ciaran and Niall Trevino; daughter, Kelli Burns and husband Greg of Maumee, OH, and their daughters, Taylor Adams and Madison Burns of Columbus, OH, and great-granddaughter, Amelia Hope Adams; youngest son, Joshua George and wife Kandace of Broken Arrow, OK and their children, Logan George and Caden George; sister, Sandi Haney of Clearwater, FL; and many other family members and friends.
