Patsy Ruth Arnold

Patsy Ruth Arnold, 85, of Muskogee, Oklahoma entered her Heavenly home on Friday, November 3, 2017. She was born August 5, 1932 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Eddie Burlison and Mamie Marie (Taylor) Burlison. She attended public schools and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1951. She furthered her education and obtained her Master’s Degree. Patsy served as a school teacher for many years and retired in 1990. She married her best friend, Carlee Arnold, on June 6, 1951 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They shared many years of life and marriage together. Patsy loved to read, sew, and watch Thunder basketball, but most important was spending time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her love of her family and her Lord. She was an active and faithful member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church for over 61 years where she served on various committees. Patsy will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlee; parents, Eddie and Mamie Marie Burlison; brother, Donald Burlison; beloved mother and father-in-law, Roy and Opal Arnold; and brother-in-law, Cecil Eugene Arnold. Patsy is survived by her daughters, Debby Hamilton and husband Dr. Larry Hamilton of Muskogee, Carla Carter and husband Daryl; son, Mike Arnold and wife Laura, all of Tulsa; grandchildren, Katy Wells and husband Jesse, Matt Hamilton and wife Nichole, Jonathan Arnold, Elizabeth Arnold, David Arnold and wife Ali, Nathan Carter and wife Kristen, Daniel Carter and wife Manoah, Audrey Carter, and Kailey Carter; great-grandchildren, Luke Wells, Liam Storie, Lainey Carter, Rowan Carter, Hadley Carter, Benaiah Carter and Landon Carter; along with other family members and friends. Funeral services celebrating Patsy’s life will be 11AM, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Eastern Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Darren Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery at 1PM. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matt Hamilton, Jonathan Arnold, David Arnold, Nathan Carter, Daniel Carter, and Jesse Wells. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Larry Hamilton, Daryl Carter, Ron Pugh, and Fred Finley.
