Patsy Baker

Patsy Baker, 75, a lifetime resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015. She was born on April 8, 1939 to John Vernon Gann and Edith Joy (Green) Gann. Patsy attended Muskogee Public Schools and graduated from Muskogee Central High School with the class of 1957. Patsy married Hubert Leroy Baker on January 7, 1961 in Mexico. She worked for several years at Corning Glass but her greatest joy came from being a homemaker for her family. Patsy’s hobbies included quilting, painting, playing bingo, cake decorating, and spending time with her family and friends. She attended Crescent Valley Baptist Church in Tahlequah and most recently Grandview Baptist Church in Muskogee. She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Patsy was loved by many and will be truly missed She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Joy Gann; her husband, Hubert Baker; her son, Dale Richard Baker; her brother, John V. Gann Jr; and her longtime companion and special friend, James Diemert. Patsy is survived by her children, Cindy Williams and husband Ronnie of Charleston, AR, John Baker and wife Sue of Ft Gibson, OK, Liz McDonald and husband John of Ft Worth, TX.; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Eischen-Baker of Newcastle, OK, her brothers, Bobby Gann and wife Betty of Ft Gibson, OK, and David Gann of Bethany, OK; her sister, Janie Hanzark and husband Jay of Muskogee, her sister-in-law, Wilma Gann of Hulbert, OK; her grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Lucas, Brandon, Ray Ann, Joshua, Joseph, and Rachel; 10 great grandchildren; along with a great number of cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and others that claimed her as their own Aunt and Granny Pat. Funeral services honoring Patsy’s life will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Mike Rosson, Lucas Agregado, Christopher Baker, Brandon Baker, Mark Gann, and Steven Gann serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Williams and Chris Williams.
