Paul Everett Branscum

Paul Everett Branscum, 67, of Muskogee, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 23, 2018. He was born on April 17, 1951 to Carl and Marie (Martin) Branscum in Glendale, Arizona. He proudly served in the United States Marines during Viet Nam. Paul was a Christian man first and foremost; he loved the Lord. He was a faithful and devoted member of Lifepoint Church in Muskogee for over 18 years. Paul was a dedicated family man and he adored his wife Carol with all of his heart. While working full-time and raising a family, Paul was able to attend Connors State College where he earned a degree in construction. For the past 6 years Paul workedfor Crossland Construction. He was able to assist in the construction of the Warren Theater of Broken Arrow, Connors State College in Muskogee, the remodel of St. Francis in Muskogee and the toll gate to Tulsa. Paul was a true carpenter by trade building anything from small shadow boxes to framing walls for buildings. His latest and most proud accomplishment was our kitchen table where his family would come together to enjoy each other's company. Paul loved to spend time with his family on vacations, fishing and hunting, or just at home working around the house. He liked to attend his grandsons' football practices and games as well. Paul was very easy going and never had a hard time making friends anywhere he went. He could always talk about life, work, friends, or family. His light always shined bright! He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie Branscum; and his brother, Glenn Allen Branscum. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Carol Anna Branscum of the home; sons, Paul Branscum, Jr. and Casey, Danny Branscum and wife Shellie, and Austin Branscum and wife Brandy all of Muskogee, OK; brother, Carl Branscum of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Gabe, Wyatt, Peyton, Josh, Brooke and Mandie; great-grandchildren, Bradley, Lily, Denim, Brystol, Bentley and Harley; longtime family friends, The Baker Family and Kenny Labounty; and many friends, cousins, church family and co-workers. A celebration of Paul’s life will be 10:00A.M., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Guy Parrish officiating.
