Randy Lee Deerinwater

Randy Lee Deerinwater, 62, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on July 31, 2020. He was born on May 21, 1958 in Muskogee. Randy graduated from Porter High School in 1977. He married the love of his life, Judy Kay Wicks Deerinwater, on December 4, 1976 in Muskogee. Randy attended college at Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kansas and also Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Randy worked at Fort Howard/Georgia Pacific for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed being a designer, artist, and sculptor. Randy loved making custom knives, flutes, walking sticks, and canes. He was an avid music lover and band member for many years. Randy accepted the Lord as a young boy at Riverside Christian Church in Muskogee where he was baptized on March 6, 1968. He then attended and was a member of York Street Christian Church and loved his church family. He was preceded in death by father, Darrell Lex Deerinwater; brothers, Steven Lex Deerinwater and Mark Curtright; Sabina Nicole Deerinwater, niece; maternal grandparents, Frank and Ivy Cox and paternal grandparents, Richard and Ellen Deerinwater. Randy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Deerinwater; mother Barbara and step-father William Hutchinson of Muskogee; Sisters, Yvonne Deerinwater Hensley and husband Stanley of Edmond and Andra Megaleine of Fort Collins, CO and brother Kelly Curtright and wife Tracey of Clio, MI. Sister and brother in laws include: Margie and Wade Rousselot of Wagoner, Lisa Deerinwater of Muskogee, Shane and Tammy Wicks of Eufaula, Brenda and Steve Bird of Oklahoma City and Connie Potts of Tulsa. Nieces and nephews include: Tifanie Doak, Tara Secrest and husband Jim, Stevie Deerinwater Moore and husband Cody, Sydney Deerinwater Warner and husband Adam, Creed Deerinwater, Braden Bakers and husband Ben, Kaia Holbrook, Erion Holbrook, Cleigh Curtright, Kaeleigh Klundt and husband Joshua, Lelia Rousselot, Chasity Wicks, Darby Wicks, Braiden Pratt, and Justin Wicks. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends. A graveside service celebrating Randy’s life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August, 6, 2020 at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, Oklahoma.
