Robert L. Rolland

Robert “Bob” Rolland was born February 26, 1933 in Braggs, America to Roy and Beulah (Riggs) Rolland and passed away on March 5, 2026. Bob left high school prior to his graduation, to enlist in the U.S. Navy. After serving in the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Hamner, he married Freda Wiley and began a fun filled 68 years of marriage. After his service, Bob obtained his GED and continued on until completion of his Master’s of Education at OSU. He was a beloved teacher and principal for Muskogee Public Schools for many years. Following his teaching career he worked for the OK State Department of Education. He then became owner of Discount Pawn Shop until Freda told him it was time to retire. Bob’s life story was about his faith, family and friends. He loved his Lord dearly, reading his Bible daily, and always ready to share the goodness of God. He loved his precious Freda without end as well as his “Rolland” girls, Vicki, Robbi, and Terri. He was an exceptional husband and father. However, Bob excelled as grandpa. He was born to be a grandpa. The grandkids kept him young and enriched his life beyond words. Each of them priceless in his eyes. Not much behind his love for the family was Bob’s love for coon hunting. All his life, Bob was a coonhunter EXTRAORDINAIRE. He loved the sound of those ol’ hounds. Thanks to Ronnie Joe, Chance and Marvin Irving, he was still hunting one month before his passing at 93 years old. He would get as excited on hunting nights as a kid at Christmas. A hobby that kept him forever young. We thank God for all the wonderful memories and time He allowed us to have Grandpa Bob. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Beulah Rolland; sister, Jackie (Finnis) Lewis; brothers, John, Kelly (Jo) and Randy; his beloved wife Freda. Cherishing his memory, daughters, Vicki (Gary) Garrison; Robbi (Daryl) Cowan, and Terri (Abner) Miller; grandchildren, Mark (Brandy), Robert “Bo” (Tonya), Megan (Lance), Nicholas (Rickie), Lindsey (Major), Jesse, Shan (Courtney); great-grandchildren, MyKenzie, Jamarian, Bode, Brylee, Kade, Kyler, Karsyn, Dawson, Crue, Myles and Letti; great-great-grandchildren, Remi, Rae and Oaklynn; sister-in-law, Thelma Terrell; and many other family members and friends.
