Robin Ann Howard

Robin Ann Howard, 39, of Muskogee, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. She was born on November 26, 1984 to Randall Keith Howard and Dauna Jean (Weaver) Howard in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Robin graduated from Oktaha High School with the class of 2003. She attended The University of Arkansas and UCO before pursuing her career in customer service with U.S. Cellular. Robin was very outgoing and unapologetically bold. In high school she was known to carry her Bible around with her, telling people they needed Jesus, and in sweet Robin Ann fashion, that she would pray for them. She loved art, animals, and the Dallas Cowboys. She was the mama to 2 beautiful fur babies, Pico the Chihuahua, and Echo the calico cat. She had gastric bypass in December 2009 and got sick in April 2010. She was hospitalized for 4 months, went to long term care hospital, then to a nursing home, before finally getting to go home. At just 26 years old, she had to learn how to live again. Little did she know that this was going to be her new “normal”. Robin has survived more near-death experiences this past 14 years than one person would be faced with their entire life. She fought so hard. After years of physical therapy and treatment, Robin finally realized she would never get the chance at a normal life. Due to this unexpected acute illness, she was never able to live her life to the fullest. She wasn’t able to have kids, work, or do normal activities, that we often take for granted. She fought so hard and made it through every setback and curveball life threw at her. Robin had fought for 14 years. Due to this unfortunate illness, it not only affected her body, but her mind as well. Even though we are grieving the loss of a beautiful person, we rejoice because after all these years she has finally been set free. Robin came to know Jesus at a young age and although she wrestled with her faith, at times, she found peace with God in the last few weeks of her life. We were saddened that she didn’t have the greatest life these past several years. She struggled with anger and bitterness because of what life threw at her. And who could blame her? We cling to hope, believing we will get to see Robin again in all her glorious beauty, walking and dancing those streets of gold. After all these years Robin doesn’t have to fight anymore to live and is finally at peace. “She is not a prisoner in her body any longer. She has been conformed to His glorious body. “Philippians 3 :21. She was preceded in death by her father, Randall Howard; her paternal grandparents, Jo Tom Howard and Ramona Prock; maternal grandfather, Charles “Chuck” Weaver; and aunt, Patsy Weaver. Robin is survived by her mother, Dauna J. Howard of Muskogee, OK; brother, Adam Howard and wife Suzanne of Sandy, UT; sister, Rachael Huber and husband Brian of Fort Gibson, OK; cousins, Stephanie Lennington and husband Donny of McAlister, OK Justin Arnold of Muskogee, OK; nephews, Octavian and Xavier Howard of Sandy, UT, Haiden and Christian West of Fort Gibson, OK; 2nd cousins, Keirstin , Elisabeth, and Rae Ann Arnold all of Muskogee, OK, Trisha Spencer and husband Ethan of Muskogee, OK, Natalie Burley and husband Silas of Muskogee, OK; and many other family members and friends. A celebration of Robin’s life will be 10AM, Friday, August 23, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Strickland officiating.
