Rosie Jane "Janie" Harrison

Rosie Jane “Janie” Harrison, 94, long time resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed from this life to her Heavenly home on Sunday, August 1, 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Harrison Stauss of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren, Susan Duncan (Kevin) of Chewey, Oklahoma, Stephen Stauss of Denver, CO, Jordan Dill (Waylon) of Muskogee, OK, Aaron Roberts (Leandra) of Muskogee, OK, and Sarah Roberts of Tulsa, OK; and 16 great-grandchildren, Luke Littlejohn (Brittany), A02 Levi Littlejohn (fiancé A02 Amber Taylor), Sarah Littlejohn, Kaden, Raylon, Sawyer, Sayler, Jay, Gabe, Kailynn, Peyton, Micah, Lilliana, Bradyn, Camilla, Daxten, and baby Roberts due January 2022; 1 great great-grandson, Jaxon James; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Rosie/Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Cricklin; siblings, Joe Cricklin, Claud Cricklin, Annie Mae Barrows and Christine Byrum; husband, James Harrison; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Darrell Roberts; son-in-law, Jim Stauss. Rosie/Janie grew up in Whitefield, Oklahoma and attended grade school there. She continued her education at Sequoyah Indian Boarding School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma till graduation. She met and married her husband, James, and they celebrated 55 years of marriage before his death in 2007. She enjoyed painting, drawing, Indian doll making and was a published author of her own illustrated book with artwork. She enjoyed taking care of her home, gardening and working in her yard and continued to perform these duties till her death. She loved her family and enjoyed frequent family gatherings and home cooked meals. She was a longtime member of Keefeton Assembly of God Church where she faithfully served. Rosie/Janie will be greatly missed by many who loved her, but we know we will see her again soon. She leaves a strong Godly legacy that will live on thru her family and friends. The family will receive friends 5:30PM-7:30PM, Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Muskogee, Oklahoma. A celebration of Rosie/Janie’s life will be 2PM, Friday, August 6, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Moss officiating. Interment and final handshake will follow at Agnew cemetery with her grandsons, Aaron Roberts and Waylon Dill; great-grandsons, Kaden McConnell, Raylon Dill, Jay Roberts, and Bradyn Nguyen serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gabe Roberts and Sawyer Dill.
