Ruth Ann Moore

Ruth Ann Moore, 73, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed to her Heavenly eternal home on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was born on February 21, 1953, in Muskogee to James Thomas and Ruth Claire (Harrison) Goodson. Ruth Ann attended Muskogee Public Schools and graduated from Muskogee High School with the Class of 1971. She continued her education at the University of Arkansas. On June 9, 1972, in Muskogee, she married the love of her life, Craig Alan Moore, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion. Ruth Ann dedicated many years of service to the medical field, working at several hospitals throughout her career, including Athens General Hospital, Little Rock Baptist Hospital, SED Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Muskogee Regional Hospital, where she faithfully served for 18 years. She retired in 2014 from Tula Saint Francis Hospital as a histopathology technician. Beyond her work, Ruth Ann found joy in time spent caring for her puppies, with her beloved bunco ladies, tending to flowers, crocheting blankets, and adding to her treasured lifelong collection of Steiff animals. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her steadfast dedication to those she loved, and the many lives she touched throughout her journey. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Ann Moore; parents, James and Ruth Claire Goodson; grandparents, John and Gladys Harrison, and Abner and Bonnie Goodson; aunts and uncles, George and Rudy Landers, Virgil and Beth Goodson, Bud Harrison, and Robert Harrison. Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, Craig Moore of the home; her children, Craig Aaron Moore and wife Becky, and Sarah Grayson; grandchildren, Alex, Caleb, Michael, Madison, and Aidan; niece, Bonnie Spencer and husband Sam and their children, Brooklyn, Makayla, and Samantha; aunt, Darla Harrison; cousins, Connie Watkins, Tommy Lee Goodson and wife Nancy, Gary Scott Goodson and wife Linda; sisters-in-law, Karen Kizzia and husband David, Mary Barnett and husband Jeff, Andrea Roddy and husband Tim, Cheryl Moore, and Carol Moore; brother-in-law, Johnnie Moore and wife Diane, along with many other nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Interment services for Ruth Ann will be Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10AM at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev Cindy Culver officiating. Ruth Ann’s life will be celebrated Friday, May 22, 2026, at 2PM, at Muskogee First United Methodist Church with Rev. Pam Cottrill officiating.
