Samantha Bookout Ballard

Samantha Bookout Ballard, 25, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was born September 2, 1991 to Jeffrey Jay Bookout and Anita Joann Stout, and she grew up and attended Okay Public Schools. After finishing her education, she then went on to become a manager at a fast food restaurant. Samantha married the love of her life, Richard Bradley Ballard on March 20, 2010, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They were blessed with one daughter, Keela Rachelle Ballard. She took great pride in being a mother. Her hobbies included spending time with her daughter and family, playing her guitar, riding four wheelers, and watching her daddy and cousin Tyler race stockcars. Samantha is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Linda Stout; paternal grandfather, Larry Bookout; maternal great grandparents, James and Margie Glass, Albert and Myrtle Stout; paternal great grandparents, Bob and Marjorie Davis, JR and Ruby Bookout. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Bradley Ballard and daughter, Keela Rachelle Ballard, both of the home; mother, Anita Stout of Muskogee; Stepfather, Charley Hulsey of Okay; father, Jeff Bookout and stepmother Kim Bookout of Okay; sisters, Bethany Brison and husband Tye of Muskogee, and Amber Chastain and husband Cole of Muskogee; maternal grandfather, A.J. Stout of Okay; paternal grandmother, Barbara Climer of Fort Gibson; mother in law, Tami Cates and John Lensing of Barling, AR; father in law Jerry Lee Ballard of Fort Gibson; mother in law Tammy Ballard of Muskogee; aunts, Mechele Cruz and husband Sonny of Muskogee, and Claudette Bargas and husband Kerry of Fort Gibson; uncle Eric Stout and wife Amanda of Okay; along with a nephew, many nieces, cousins, other family members and numerous friends who will miss her dearly. A celebration of Samantha’s life will be 11:00A.M., Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gary McElmurry and Brother Gary Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Tyler Hopson, Patrick Carter, Dallas Coppin, Bryce McElmurry, Mike Haley, and Bob Haley serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tye Brison, Sonny Cruz, Starbuck Morris, Garrett Smith, and Raymond Hopson.
