Sarah Mae Walters

Sarah Mae Walters, age 50, a cherished lifetime resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Born on May 1, 1975, in Muskogee to Gary David Ridley Sr. and Vera (Butler) Ridley, Sarah’s roots in her hometown ran deep and true. Sarah attended Muskogee Public Schools and graduated from Muskogee High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and built fond memories that she carried with her throughout her life. Her love for her community was evident in her daily interactions and heartfelt devotion to those around her. On June 21, 2010, Sarah married the love of her life, Marshall Ray Walters. Their union was a testament to true companionship, faith, and mutual respect. Together, they shared many beautiful years filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Faith was the cornerstone of Sarah’s life. She was an active and faithful member of Muskogee First Free Will Baptist Church. She loved going to church and attending church camp, and was known for her passion for music. Sarah’s talent for playing the piano and singing brought comfort and inspiration to congregations wherever her father was preaching or pastoring. Her musical gifts were not just performances, but acts of worship that touched the hearts of many. Sarah was deeply loved by her family, church members, and countless friends. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and willingness to serve others made her a beloved presence in every room she entered. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and faith that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Sarah’s life will be celebrated by those who loved her dearly, and her memory will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of her family, friends, and the Muskogee community. She will be missed profoundly but remembered with gratitude and love. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Ridley Sr. Sarah is survived by her husband, Marshall of the home; mother, Vera Ridley; brother, Gary Ridley Jr. and wife Cheryl; sons, Ryan Warren and wife Rhianna, all of Muskogee; Mason Walters and wife Bonnie of Fort Gibson; daughters, Megan Walters of Muskogee, Kelli Warren and husband, Patrick Dow Jr. of Nevada; grandchildren, Jaxon Warren, J T Trinidad, Ruby Warren, Conrad Walters, Colton Walters, Creed Walters, Austin Dow, and Patrick Dow III; in-laws, Melvin and Carolyn Walters of Muskogee; sisters-in-law, Connie lane and Lana Stevenson; along with many other family and church members. Public viewing for Sarah will be from 9AM-8PM, Monday, November 3, 2025 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Sarah’s life will be celebrated at 10AM, Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Smith and Rev. Greg Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at San Bois Cemetery in Kinta, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Ryan Warren, Mason Walters, Jaxon Warren, Spencer Cypert, Randy Gilbert, and Logan Ridley. Honorary pallbearer will be Ramon Cabrera.
