Susan "Susie" Anne Pierce

Susan “Susie” Anne Pierce, age 69, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on June 13, 2026. Susie was born on July 18, 1956, in Rochester, NY, to James A. Hosley and Janet M. Hosley. In March 1965, she and her family moved from Central Islip, NY to Chelsea, Oklahoma so her mother could be close to her parents to help care for her grandmother. Two years later, they moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma where Susie attended school and graduated with the Class of 1974. Susie enjoyed participating in Special Olympics for almost 40 years; she placed very well in the softball throw, running, speed walking, bowling, and bocce ball over the years. She loved cats, especially her cat, Angel. Susie enjoyed walking and riding her bike around town for many years; she also enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and stuffed animals. Susie worked several jobs in Muskogee, mostly in the food service industry and retail businesses where she met and served many people until health issues caused her to retire. Susie loved people and made friends all over town. She’s never met a stranger, and once she met you, she never forgot you. On August 20, 2021, Susie married Terry Pierce in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Although their years together were short in number, they were years that Susie enjoyed true happiness. To know Susie, was to love Susie. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, stepmother to her husband’s children, and grandma to his grandchildren. She loved children and was known as Aunt Susie by many. Susie was sweet, loving, funny, a little chatty, sassy, and a bit “spicy,” a nickname she was given by one of her nurses at Saint Francis. Susie was a diabetic, therefore she had circulation problems with her legs and feet. We are so proud of how hard she fought over the past several months, but it was just too much. She will be missed by all who knew her. Susie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lindsey Downing, and brother William “Billy” Hosley. She is survived by her husband, Terry Pierce. Sisters, Mary Bennett and husband Allen of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; Patti Blankenship and husband Jeff of Muskogee, Oklahoma; Katie Hopper and husband Sammy of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; brothers David Hosley of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; and Ryan Hosley of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Sons, Terry Pierce, Jr., Muskogee, OK; Mark Pierce, McAlister, Oklahoma; Joe Vann, Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandson, Zaydon Pierce, Muskogee, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Rachel Pierce, Hulbert, Oklahoma; along with many nieces and nephews and extended family members. A family conducted Memorial Service will be 12PM, Saturday, June 20, 2026. at Fairview Baptist Church, 3510 W. Peak Blvd, Muskogee, OK.
