Thomas Earl Caster

Thomas Earl "Butch" Caster, 75, of Glenpool, Oklahoma, passed away on January 1, 2025. He was born on June 20, 1950, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Earl and Grady Lela (Dennis) Caster. Butch graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1968 and went on to study horticulture at Connors State College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army after being drafted and stationed in Germany. Upon returning home, Butch began a long career with the United States Postal Service in Muskogee, from which he retired. Butch married the love of his life, Brenda Joyce Dover, in 1972 at Central Church of Christ in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was baptized by his brother, Kenneth Laningham, at Muskogee Church of Christ, and his faith remained an essential part of his life. Butch had a deep love for animals and operated a bird hatchery from his home in Muskogee for many years, where he also raised and flew carrier pigeons. His property was home to an extraordinary array of creatures, including peacocks, ostriches, cattle, and even wolves and cougars. He was also passionate about cars and enjoyed many years of friendship with his car enthusiast friends. Known for his great sense of humor and generous spirit, Butch was a dedicated family man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Grady Lela (Dennis) Caster; brother, Kenneth Laningham and wife Betty; sisters, Earlena Stretch, Lee Etta Wright and husband Bill, and Norma Daniels. Butch is survived by his wife, Brenda Caster of the home; sons, Brandon Caster of Broken Arrow, Clinton Caster and wife Amber, and Casey Caster and wife Tiya both of Glenpool; grandchildren, Briana, Brittany, Evelynn, Scarlett, Kinsleigh, Kyler, Bentley, Kaden, and Kash; great-grandsons, Rome and Denver; sister, Donna Ford and husband Billy of Broken Arrow; brothers-in-Law, Dwight Daniels and Walter Stretch; nieces and nephews, Missy Bingham and husband Bruce of Jenks, Josh Ford and wife Joanna of Broken Arrow, Steve Laningham of Muskogee, Pam Teel and husband Don of Muskogee; Trisha Clairday and husband Max of Fort Gibson, Kim Edwards of Edmond, Carla Johnson of Hulbert, Debbie Wright and Mike Wright of Van Buren, Arkansas, Cindi Lee of Norman, and Jerry and Beth Stretch of Warner. A celebration of Butch’s life will be 2PM, Friday, January 9, 2026 at Memorial Park Cemetery at: 7600 Old Taft Rd Muskogee, Ok 74401.
