Thomas Cleveland Ledington

THOMAS CLEVELAND LEDINGTON Thomas Cleveland Ledington passed away March 26, 2011 in Muskogee, OK surrounded By his loved ones. He was born February 21, 1951 to William A. Ledington and Frances Opal Egelston Ledington in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He graduated from Guthrie High School In 1969. He entered the Army and served in the Vietnam Era from 1974-1977. After his service in the military, he began a law enforcement career. Where served as a police officer and Chief of Police. In 1987, he began his career in commercial truck driving. He continued to work in that field and was the Director of Training at Roadmaster Driving School for CDL training in Tulsa, OK at the time of his death. Tom was preceded in death by both his parents, his brother Billy Ledington and his daughter Tracie Riley Canning. He is survived by his wife Norma Ledington of Muskogee, his sister Jane Hinojosa and her husband Danny of Oklahoma City, his daughter Angela Bruning of Guthrie, his daughter Holly Ledington of Beggs, his former son-in-law Mark Jeremy Bruning of Guthrie, his stepdaughter Cellie Roller and her husband Jerry of Muskogee, his stepdaughter Lori Arney and her husband Ken of Muskogee, and five nieces. He is also survived by his grandchildren Bailey Burning of Guthrie; Sierra, Madison and Gabriel Roller of Muskogee; Katie, Isaac, and Zachary Arney of Muskogee; Brittany Torres of Edmond and Brooklyn and Braxton Canning of Oklahoma City. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved being Papa Hero and Pawpaw to his grandkids. Tom loved hunting and fishing. He and his wife Norma attended Church Central in Muskogee, where he was a very active member. He enjoyed ministering to the youth, providing security service, and even played Santa Claus at Christmas-time. His true mission in his life was serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Tom was loved by many and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to the Muskogee VA Oncology Services. Please use the information for donations.
