Timothy "Timmy" Lee Lawrence

Timothy “Timmy” Lee Lawrence, 64, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 26, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. He was born February 28, 1959 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Tim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Tim’s greatest joy in life was his loving partner, Mandy Lawrence, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, with whom he shared an unwavering bond of marriage for 32 wonderful years. He was a proud father to his children; daughter, Ashley Graves and husband Justin and their children Jaiden and Teagan; sons, Justin Lawrence, and Derek Lawrence and his wife Samantha, and their children, Hillary, Brayton, Rory and Ripley. He was a proud graduate of the Wagoner Bulldogs class of 1978, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and cherished memories. He was known for his athletic ability, excelling in football and baseball. His passion for fishing, golfing and hunting enriched his kids, grandchildren and those around him while keeping him busy following retirement. He was very talented with his hands and could build or fix anything. Tim was an avid OU Sooners fan and you knew when they were playing on the TV by his loud roars and yelling. Professionally, Tim retired from Fansteel Metals in Muskogee in 2022. He was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at the age of 12. Tim will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Mandy, whom he called “his catch” and a wide circle of family and friends who were blessed to have known him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Stepp; stepdad, Ralph Stepp; brothers, Roger Lawrence and Keith Lawrence; brother-in-law, Wayne Burrows; father-in-law, William Floyd Easterling; his lifelong friend, Matt Brady and Otto Deacon. Tim leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, his children and grandchildren, along with his sister, Judy Burrows; sister-in-law, Linda Lawrence; mother-in-law, Billie Easterling; sister-in-law, Pam Carnell and husband Jim; special cousins, Sharon Nicholas, James Nicholas, and Steve Nicholas; special family members, Ronald and Cecilia Nicholas, and Robert Nicholas; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and last but not least, his buddy and loyal German shepherd, Gunnar. Public viewing will be from 9AM-8PM, Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A celebration of Tim’s life will be at 10AM, Friday, December 1, 2023 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner. Tim will be laid to rest by his devoted pallbearers, Brian Burrows, Derek Lawrence, Justin Lawrence, Jaiden Graves, Justin Graves, and James Burgess. Their support and friendship meant the world to Tim, and their gesture of carrying him to his final resting place is a testament to their bond. Honorary pallbearers will be James Nicholas, Robbie Burrows, Keith Hefner, Jeff Hamilton and Vic Owens. “Tim’s laughter, warmth, and love will forever echo in our heart.”
