Tod B. McBrien

Tod Berron McBrien was born October 10, 1974 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was the son of David Howard Adams and Sandra Kay Fielden Westbrook. Having spent his childhood in various locations, he settled in Muskogee where he graduated from Hilldale High School in 1992. It was during that time that Tod met the love of his life, Amy. They were married on May 20, 1995 in Muskogee. After graduating from NSU in the spring of 1997, Tod and Amy made their home in Muskogee. In the next few years, life gave Tod many challenges and changes. He was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 1998 and fought it until his untimely death. It was also during that time that his three precious children were born. Tod was many things to many people, but in its simplest form, he was a loving husband, an adoring father, an avid worker, a great friend, and a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Tod was a member of Southeast Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He also ministered in various churches within the community and touched the lives of everyone he met. Prior to his passing, Tod achieved one of his dreams by receiving his graduate degree in Christian Foundations from MBTS in Kansas City. On May 23, 2012, Tod left this world to sit at the feet of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Psalm 116:15 says that “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Tod was preceded in death by his father, David Howard Adams; maternal grandparents, Rie and Florence Fielden; four sisters, Debra, Danette, LaDonna, and LaVonda Moon; one brother; uncle, Eddie Fielden; aunts, Eva Fielden and Norma Nail. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Amy McBrien; two daughters, Alex and Emily; one son, Isaac; mother, Sandy Westbrook; all of Muskogee, brother, Steve McBrien and wife Gwen of Oswego, KS.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Royanne Hutson of Muskogee; father-in-law, John Cobb of Springdale, AR; brother-in law, Robby Hutson and wife Katy of Muskogee, sister-in-law, Jill Renfro and husband Scott of Owasso; niece, Jordan McBrien; nephews, David McBrien, Riley McBrien, Bentley Hutson, Sebastian Renfro; aunts, Carol Scott of Muskogee, Wilma Strong and husband Kenneth of Strathmore, CA; the My Place BBQ family; numerous friends and extended family.
