Traci L. Schoeppel

On October 27, 1970, a beautiful baby girl, Traci Leigh Foster, was born to Bo and Brenda Foster. She was later followed by her sister, Tera Jo and brother, Tyson Rae. Traci passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 51. She lived with her family in the Council Hill area attending Midway Schools where she was very active in all sports. She was the McIntosh County Jr. Group Queen and then became the first female to lead the Midway FFA as President. She was named salutatorian for the Midway High School class of 1989. She furthered her education at Connors State College where she received her nursing degree and finished at OU with a BSN. Traci worked at Muskogee General Hospital in the surgery 1 recovery department where she met her soulmate and true love, Dr. Stephen Schoeppel. After dating for 2 years, they were married at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Muskogee. She took much pride in becoming a stepmother to Stephen’s daughter, Steffon and son, Troy. Traci was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Stephen Schoeppel; sister, Tera Foster; brother, Tyson Foster (whose birthday is today, and all 3 siblings are celebrating in heaven together); grandparents, Joe and Sissy Carpenter; great-grandparents, Everett and Minnie Foster, Isom and Lillie Morton; uncles, Moose Ray, Tom Lackey and wife ElDena, Jim Morton and Monroe Morton; and step-father, Joseph B. Flusche Jr. Those remaining to cherish her memories are her son, Seth Riley Schoeppel of Broken Arrow; mother, Brenda Flusche of Muskogee; aunt, Precious Kathy Ray of Council Hill; father, Eddie Foster of Schulter; favorite cousins, Ronny Ray and wife Jennifer, Ike Ray, Michael Ray and wife Misty; her best friend, Laura Rosson who was more like a sister; her friend, Randy Anderson; and ex-husband, Brad Hale; along with many other family members and friends. Traci’s life will be celebrated at 11AM, Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Timothy Baptist Church with Pastor Kelly Payne officiating.
