Wanda H. Arnold

Wanda Hazel Arnold, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the age of 82. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final moments. Wanda was born on December 14, 1942, in Beland, Oklahoma, to Samuel Alford and Ada Hazel (Barrett) Cooper. She was raised in a home filled with love and strong values, which she carried with her throughout her life. Wanda graduated from Wainwright School as part of the Class of 1960, cherishing the friendships and memories formed during her school years. In 1960, Wanda married the love of her life, Eldon Junior Arnold. Together, they shared many wonderful years until his passing in 1998. Their union was blessed with a loving family, and Wanda dedicated herself to their happiness and well-being. Wanda was a hardworking, dedicated professional who served as the office manager for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. She retired in 2006 after many years of loyal service, leaving a legacy of commitment and excellence that was admired by her colleagues. Throughout her life, Wanda was an active member of the Wainwright Baptist Church, where she found strength and community in her faith. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ada Cooper; her beloved husband, Eldon Junior Arnold; her sons, Jerry Arnold and Donald Arnold; and her siblings, Charles Hamon, Bill Hamon, Ann Bullard, and Linda Cook. She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her daughter, Tammy Gerig and husband Jerry; her son, Eldon J. Arnold and wife Belinda; her grandchildren, Cheryl Collins and husband Kenny, Rhonda Gerig, Annie Sanders, Ethan Arnold and wife Kaitlyn, Justin Arnold, and Brian Arnold; and her great-grandchildren, Cayson Sanders, Kristian Collins, Kyra Collins, Konner Collins, and Jaxon Arnold; and her sister, Leona Allwhite. Wanda is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. Funeral services to celebrate Wanda’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Christopher Paul Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Middleton Chapel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kristian Collins, Chase Morris, Ethan Arnold, Joe Staton, Jake Mitchell, and Wes Wasson.
