Alice Faye Lake

December 22, 1943 - December 18, 2021

Alice Faye Lake, 77, of Muskogee, OK entered Heaven’s gates on Saturday, December 18, 2021. She was born on December 22, 1943 to Robert ‘Moreland’ Crow and Lillie ‘Pearl’ (Robinson) Crow in Idabel, OK. She worked as a case worker for the state of Oklahoma until later retiring. She married her best friend, Frank Lake on March 20, 1980 in Fort Smith, AR. They shared 39 years of marriage and memories together until his passing in 2019. Alice was a faithful and active Christian who loved the Lord, read her Bible daily, and was a longtime member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, any John Wayne movie, watching football especially the Dallas Cowboys, and keeping the cleanest house you’ve ever seen. Alice loved her grandchildren more than anything and always took care of her family. She was an exceptional wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lake; son, Darren Purdom; brother, Jerry Crow; sister, Bobby Jean Denham; parents, Moreland and Pearl Crow; sons-in-law, Alan Wilson and Frankie Adams; and stepson, Mark Lake. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Wilson and Debra Adams; son, Kenneth Darryl Purdom; stepchildren, Kristi Gross and husband Gary, and Teri Garner; sister, Barbara Dixon; brother, Granville Crow and wife Murl; sister-in-law, Doris Crow; daughter-in-law, Barbara Lake; grandchildren, Miranda Clayton, Darryl Purdom and wife Amber, Misty Gates and husband Trent, Ashley Adams, Blake Wilson and Keith Wilson; step grandchildren, BJ Lake and wife Annie, Brandi and Loren Brashear, Dustin and Jamie Tidwell, Lance Gross, Stephen Gross, Carrie Cooper, Casey Lake, Zachariah Lake, and Shannon Tracy and husband Troy; 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A celebration of Alice’s life will be 10am, Tuesday, 12/21/2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Earl Cobb officiating.
