Bertha "Dolores" Ulrich

August 1, 1929 - April 17, 2022

Bertha “Dolores” Ulrich, 92, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022. She was born August 1, 1929 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to William Henry and Bertha (Harvey) Pickard. Dolores grew up in Muskogee where she attended Sequoyah Elementary School, Alice Robertson Jr High and Central High School. She married Harold Wayne Ulrich on March 3, 1945 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared more than 50 years of life, marriage and memories together until Harold passed on June 5, 1995. Dolores was raised in the First Church of God and later Dolores and Wayne were founding members of Eastside Church of God. She worked for Brockway Glass, Jones Department Store, and Health Biz but most of her time was spent working with her husband Harold. They spent 44 years being landlords and working together on the rental properties they owned. Dolores enjoyed working in her flower bed, having a vegetable garden and selling Mary Kay cosmetics with her daughter, Pam and her friend, Jimmie Lou Moran. She was also a talented seamstress as she enjoyed making clothes for family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling with her brother, Vern Ray, after her husband passed. Dolores will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wayne; parents, William Henry and Bertha; siblings, Marie Cletis (Pickard) Williams and her husband Lt. Col. Frank Nathaniel Williams, Ted Pickard, Fern May (Pickard) Hanson and her husband Conley, Vern Ray Pickard, and Col. Thomas Junior Pickard; nephew, Capt. Claude Nathaniel Williams; niece, Susan Kay Hanson; and son-in-law, Wm. Gregg Swartz. Dolores is survived by her daughters, Carol Dolores Foltz and husband Robert Eugene, Pamela Diane Swartz, all of Muskogee; grandchildren, Angela Dee Foltz and spouse Vicki Lynch of Colleyville, TX, Melissa Marie (Foltz) Morgan, great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Marie Foltz, Bradon Wayne Morgan, and Nicki Jean (Foltz) Wazny; great-great-grandchildren, Allen Jacob Wazny, Aubree Elizabeth Wazny and Brooklynn Michele Wazny. A memorial service celebrating Dolores’ life will be 11AM, Friday, May 6, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bob Hancock officiating.
