Dorothy Rae Woodard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dorothy Rae Woodard, 82, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born July 4, 1940 in Muskogee to Stanley and Velma (Breshears) Malan. She left school after the 9th grade and later received her GED in 1973. In 1986, Dorothy returned to college and obtained her associates degree in business. Dorothy married the love of her life, Howard L. Woodard on July 12, 1958 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. They loved traveling the world with many dear friends. They spent many years living overseas in Tripoli Libya, London England and Paris France. Dorothy and Howard enjoyed over 57 years together. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved being a wife and mother. She enjoyed family gatherings and watching her great-grandsons play baseball and football. She also loved spending time with her dog and constant companion, Barney 2.0. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents, Stanley and Velma Malan; sisters, Mary Malan and Jimmie Jordan; brother, Ralph Malan. Dorothy is survived by her son, Quenten Woodard; daughter, Tracy White (Garey), all of Muskogee, daughter, Barbara Lynch of Addison, TX; sister, Sharon Townsend of Douglass, KS; grandchildren, Jessica Dame, Ryan Dame (Cheryl), Trevor Dame, Samantha Young (Joe), Robin Brunner (Jim), Ashleigh Kaiser (Matt); great-grandchildren, Jaydyn Dame, Justin Storer, Jaxon Dry, Carson and McKenzie Stallings, Amaris, Gage, Trent and Parker Dame, Liam and Evey Young, Macy Smith, Genevieve Brunner, Rayden Torix, and Piper Kaiser; and a great-great-grandson due in August. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be 10AM, Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Joe Young officiating.
