Gerald "Jake" Edward Glisson Sr.

Gerald “Jake” Edward Glisson Sr., 80, of Warner, OK passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021. He was born on December 22, 1941 to Callie Heron Glisson and Maudy (English) Glisson in Warner, OK. Jake attended and graduated from Warner Public Schools. He worked as a painter for his own business, Glisson Painting for many years until later retiring. Jake enjoyed the outdoors especially working in his garden and going fishing. He was a faithful and active Christian who attended the First Apostolic Church of Porum. He is survived by his children, Gerald Glisson Jr., Marcus Glisson and wife Penny, and Travis Glisson and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Gerald Glisson III and wife Melissa, Amanda Glisson, Dayanna and Tyler Hollis, Tyler Glisson, Erica and Chris Smith, Christian and Noa Glisson, Callie Glisson, and Tait Garroutte; great-grandchildren, Redman Glisson, Allison Todd, Jacklyn Glisson, Roy Hollis, Summer Smith, Jazmyne Smith, Daxton Glisson, Sam Glisson, and Julie Glisson. A celebration of Jake’s life will be graveside at 3pm, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Warner Memorial Cemetery with Brother Charlie Smith officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Glisson, Gerald Glisson III, Dee Chandler, Amanda Glisson, Redman Glisson, and Tyler Hollis.
